The famous Austrian Boxer Willham Ott has converted to Islam. He stressed that the corona crisis gave him the necessary rest to find his faith again. Islam has occupied him for many years. Wilhelm Ott, a professional MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fighter from Austria announced that he has found his faith in Islam after extensive research in his new religion while being in quarantined amid coronavirus lockdown. Ott announced it on April 16 that he has converted to Islam. He has been professionally boxing since 2008 aka ‘The Amazing’. He has adopted his new name as ‘Khalid’ (Wilhelm) Ott. He won Austria MMA Champion -84, -93kg, MMA Europa Champ -84 kg and Vendetta Champ -77kg. Twitteratis have been welcoming him in Islam and praised him on adopting Islam as his new religion. Ott, the European champion in martial arts, announced his conversion to Islam through a video posted on his official account on Instagram.

Most recently, Arthur Wagner, a prominent member of a German far-right political party ‘Alternative für Deutschland’ (AfD), spent his life for its anti-Muslim rhetoric, has converted to Islam and resigned from party’s leadership. The mixed-martial-arts fighter said that he decided to convert to Islam after in-depth research on the religion during the time he spent in quarantine amid the coronavirus. He maintained that Islam has given him the necessary strength in difficult times.
