He opposed the Muslims and threatened to assassinate Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW). While on his way to carry out his plan to assassinate the Holy Prophet (SAWW), he became aware of his sister and brother who is a Muslim convert. She went to her sister’s house, Fatima’s house where her sister and brother-in-law were taught the Quran by Khabab (R.A). He asked about their conversion to Islam and began arguing with them. He beat his sister in such a way that she bled profusely, after seeing her bloody sister calm down and asked her sister to show me the pages where the Quran was written. He recited the Quran after bathing; it was the beginning of Surah Ta Ha. Finally, he came to this verse:
“Truly, I am Allah. There is no god but Me, so pray for me and stop the prayer to remember me. Quran [20:14]
He was deeply moved by the sacred verses after reading them and accepted them as the words of Allah. When he heard this Hazrat Khabbab (R.A), who was hiding in the house, came out and said, “O Umar!
