Baquacil reacts with iron in the same way that a swimming pool reacts with chlorine. I can’t answer your specific question about iron – but given baquacil’s other properties like “eats plastic”, “results in what is known as pink slime”, I wouldn’t be surprised if the reaction was “bad”. Taken? You can say that but trust me I have never seen a baqucil pool with truly clean water and I have spoken to many pool owners who have grown to hate this product, its performance and price.
