Israel’s Defense Failures: IDF Missile Malfunctions, Leadership Turmoil, and Regional Tensions

Israel’s Defense Failures:  The IDF interceptor missile failed to counter Hezbollah’s drone and fell on its own people, killing three Israelis and injuring nine others. Israel’s entire defense system has now become dysfunctional and is causing harm to its own citizens. Previously, an Iron Dome missile made a U-turn and sent eight Israelis to their doom.

After the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas appointed Yahya Sinwar, the mastermind of the October 7 attack, as the head of its political wing. Following this, an Israeli official stated that killing Haniyeh was a grave mistake. Yahya Sinwar, who had been imprisoned in Israeli jails several times, left a strong impression on his jailers. In 2011, Hamas secured his release, and he transformed Hamas into a formidable force. The results are evident today.

It has been eight days since Ismail Haniyeh was martyred, but Iran hasn’t even taken 48 hours to respond. Iran continues to launch threatening missiles, while Palestinian mujahideen are targeting Israeli soldiers one by one. Intense clashes are ongoing in West Bank, Tubas, Aqaba, and Jenin. According to Israeli media outlet Twelve, 275 Israeli soldiers have been killed and over 400 severely injured in the past seven days. Meanwhile, another news story has shaken the Middle East.

Hezbollah of Lebanon has announced that if Iran does not retaliate against Israel within the next 24 hours, Hezbollah will initiate unilateral action. Amid Iran’s threats, Netanyahu and his top officials, who have been hiding in a bunker for three days, are considering coming out. According to the European organization OSINT, which monitors Open Source Intelligence, there is an atmosphere of fear in Iran, leading to reconsideration of retaliatory action against Israel, as such an attack could spark a regional war.

The US is also pressuring Iran not to retaliate, and this is largely believed to be true because Russian weapons have reached Iran, and Iran has a tremendous opportunity. Despite this, Iran is being blamed for the massacre in Palestine due to its inaction. Iran has been accused of abandoning Hamas in the war by withholding weapons, a charge it has been carrying for the past ten months. Whether Iran will retaliate against Israel or not remains uncertain. However, according to the Times of Israel, Israel is fully prepared to attack Iran again and could strike at any moment.

IDF Admits Defeat, Ready to Return Gaza to Hamas

On the other hand, there is news from Tel Aviv that Ultra-Orthodox Jews have stormed the IDF’s Tel HaShomer base near Tel Aviv in protest against forced conscription. The Ultra-Orthodox Jews stated that conscription in the IDF is worse than death. It is worth noting that new laws have made it mandatory for Ultra-Orthodox Jews to join the military, whereas old laws had exempted them.

The law mandating Ultra-Orthodox Jews to join the military was enacted just three months ago due to Israel’s struggle with a shortage of soldiers and tanks. In the past seven months, Israel has lost thirty-five thousand soldiers, with nineteen thousand four hundred of them becoming fuel for hell, and the rest living on US aid while confined to wheelchairs.

Since Ismail Haniyeh’s martyrdom, Hezbollah has carried out three major attacks on Israel, resulting in nine Israeli deaths and hundreds of injuries. Upset over Israel’s lack of retaliation, Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah announced that the waiting period is over and unilateral attacks will commence soon. Meanwhile, Houthi chief Ansarullah issued a statement two days ago saying that they have not entered the war relying on any Islamic or non-Islamic country and that no country in the world supports them.

It is noteworthy that Ismail Haniyeh’s death has caused more damage to Israel than the last six months of war. His death has turned Netanyahu into a cornered figure hiding in a bunker. The international market has been shattered, cryptocurrency has collapsed, and all Israeli stocks have plummeted. No one is willing to buy shares, and no friendly nation is ready to invest. Israel is economically devastated from all sides. Additionally, 25% of Israel’s population has left the country, and 50% have moved to safer areas. Tel Aviv is more than half empty, and Netanyahu is hiding in a bunker, just like Hitler did in his final days.
